Mr Kordas has worked for Oxford University Hospitals between 2013-19 as a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon. Since January 2019 he has only worked in the private sector, but sees both private and NHS patients.

Mr Kordas specialises in hip and knee replacement surgery, joint preservation and sports injuries of the knee. He performs hip replacements including cemented and uncemented techniques using a minimally invasive approach where possible. In the knee he aims to preserve the joint and offer re-alignment surgery instead of replacement where possible. He uses both total and partial knee replacements including patello-femoral implants depending on the areas affected by arthritis.

As a unique service in the Oxfordshire area he offers custom-made knee replacements for his private patients. Knee arthroscopy (keyhole operation) is a major part of Mr Kordas work including operations for meniscal tears, cartilage defects and instability. Mr Kordas has led the implementation of our enhanced recovery and day case joint replacement pathway. This brings several benefits for our patients with better pain management, quicker mobilisation and sleeping in their own bed on the day of surgery. He has a special interest in the use of digital technology for personalised medicine.
