Mr Girish Swamy is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon working at Fitzwilliam Hospital.
Consultant spinal surgeon at Fitzwilliam Hospital, treating patients with all forms of spinal conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral spine. This includes degenerative spinal problems (disc protrusions, spinal stenosis), spinal fractures, spinal infections, secondary spinal tumours and spinal deformities (kyphosis).
Actively involved in teaching and training orthopaedic and spinal registrars on the East Anglia orthopaedic rotation. Regular faculty member on several FRCS preparation courses and coordinate the Senior Norwich Spinal Fellowship, training senior spinal surgeons for future consultant positions. I am also regularly invited to be on the faculty of esteemed national and international spinal meetings, and teaching courses. I hold honorary academic positions in several overseas universities.
