Mr Gordon Higgins is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Torquay, Devon who specialises in hip and knee surgery
Mr Higgins has a special interest in hip resurfacing, primary and complex hip and knee replacement/arthroscopy, computer navigation, and revision arthroplasty surgery.
Membership of Royal College of Surgeons (Tr & Orth).
In 2003 Mr Higgins was awarded a National Training Number in the West Midlands. He spent 5 years in different hospitals including Selly Oak Trauma Unit and The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital (birthplace of hip resurfacing). In July 2007 he gained his 12 months Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Tr & Orth). Mr Higgins further developed his specialist hip and knee interest on a prestigious international fellowship through the University of Toronto, Canada. In 2009 he was selected as the divisional nominee for the Zahn Cohen Clinical Achievement Award.
