Mr Iftikhar Khan is an experienced General surgeon, who has been a consultant in the NHS since 1999.He qualified from Dow Medical College in Pakistan and undertook his surgicaltraining there. He then completed specialist surgical training in the UK,working in major teaching hospitals in Cambridge and London, and obtained hisCCST in 1999. Mr Khan has been workingas a consultant in the Northwest since 2000 and is currently a ConsultantSurgeon in Aintree University Hospital. He was trained in and hasextensive experience in the full range of elective and emergency GI surgery,and has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery and endoscopy. Mr Khan has presented andpublished nationally and internationally. He is keenly involved in teaching andis a member of regional surgical training committee. He is an accreditedtrainer for upper and lower GI endoscopy. He has delivered training / lecturesto students, junior doctors, GP's and nurses.
