Mr Nessim completed his specialist Ophthalmology training in the West Midlands followed by two fellowships in Glaucoma at Birmingham & Midland Eye Centre and the internationally renowned Glaucoma surgery fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He accepted the post of Consultant at Birmingham & Midland Eye Centre in 2009. Mr Nessim is an expert in small incision cataract surgery, glaucoma filtration procedures and aqueous shunt implantation for complex Glaucoma cases. His research interests are in Glaucoma Biomarkers, intraocular pressure's measurements in collaboration with the University of Birmingham. He has many peer reviewed publications and has presented in many national and international conferences in the field of Cataract and Glaucoma.
