Mr Michael Green is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in Torquay, Devon
Michael Green is a highly experienced specialist breast surgeon based in Torbay. He was appointed Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in 2006 to set up a specialist service for breast reconstruction and plastic surgery at Torbay Hospital, and joined Mount Stuart Hospital in 2007.
Working exclusively in breast surgery he offers a complete clinical service including aesthetic breast surgery, reconstructive breast surgery, breast symptoms, diagnostics and cancer treatment. He offers a friendly and relaxed approach to consultations and ensures patients have a fully informed understanding of breast surgery so they can make the right decisions, for themselves. In aesthetic breast surgery this includes breast reduction and uplift, breast implant surgery and nipple correction. Because he offers a specialist diagnostic service, he has extensive experience in revision surgery for women who have had cosmetic or reconstructive surgery in the past and can advise women in this regard.
Mr Green performs hundreds of breast operations per year and sees many more women and men in his outpatient clinics. He is the Lead Clinician for Torbay NHS Breast Care Unit and chairs the Breast Multidisciplinary Team. This unit is nationally recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons for its breast oncoplastic and reconstruction surgery and is a National Exemplar for Day Case Breast Surgery. He trains surgeons in advanced breast surgery, including cosmetic breast surgery. He sits on the Annual Review of Competence Panel for trainee surgeons in the South West. He is a founding member of the South West Oncoplastic Breast Surgeons Group.
