Mr Hakimi obtained his medical degree in 2001. He undertook his surgical training, gaining membership to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008 and an Intercollegiate Fellowship in trauma and orthopaedics in 2016. He was awarded the certificate of completion of surgical training in 2017.
Mr Hakimi was appointed as a consultant Orthopaedic surgeon at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust in 2018. During his orthopaedic surgery training in the northwest Mr Hakimi trained in various techniques in Hip and knee surgery at different busy orthopaedic centres including Wrightington Hospital; He then undertook fellowship in Hip and Knee arthroplasty at Chapel Alerton Hospital in Leeds.
