Mr Flower qualified in London in 1984 and undertook specialist training in London, New Zealand and finally the South Coast Training Scheme for ENT; completing training in 1999.

Mr Flower was appointed as Consultant ENT surgeon at Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust in June 2009. He has been key in the running of the unit there and has been a driver in developing the department and expanding the Consultant numbers as well as instigating emergency services at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford.
