In addition to providing a general ear nose and throat ENT service, Mr Okonkwo has a special interest in conditions affecting the nose, sinuses and face. This includes sinusitis, nasal polyps, rhinitis, blocked noses, deviated noses, smell and taste disorders, hayfever and allergy. He provides a broad range of ENT procedures and specializes in sinus surgery, rhinoplasty, septal surgery and treatment of skin cancers of the head and neck. Mr Okonkwo completed medical school with merit at the University of Newcastle and completed, with distinction, a Masters in Research. His specialist training was undertaken in Manchester and the he went on to complete 2 internationally recognized fellowships, in facial plastic surgery in London and in complex sinus and skull-base surgery. Mr Okonkwo is published in his field and actively contributes to national research projects. He is passionate about medical innovation and is an early adopter of medical technologies. Mr Okonkwo has a strong interest in education and is an honorary lecturer and examiner for the University of Bristol. He also an exam writer for the General Medical Council and is faculty at national ENT courses.
