Trained in Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery in Cambridge, Oxford, Bristol and London and undertook fellowships in the UK and overseas including two BSSH (British Society of Surgery of the Hand) awarded Fellowships to world centres of excellence. Hand surgery research in collaboration with Cambridge University, including an international multicentre study on tendon healing. Interest in wound and scar healing and his research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals including the British/European Journals of Plastic Surgery and the American and European Journals of Hand Surgery.
Published over 30 articles in peer-reviewed clinical and scientific journals, book chapter and over 40 presentations at national and international surgical meetings.
Chairman for sessions at national Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery meetings and will be chairing a session at the World Hand Surgery conference (IFSSH) in London in 2022. Active in hand surgery training, including teaching on hand surgery courses in the Royal College of Surgeons in London, Cambridge and Bristol.
