Mr Kumar works to develop a partnership with his patients. On his part, this begins with listening. He develops a dialogue, through which his patients understand the diagnostic process, their own unique problem, their treatment choices, and the recovery process. Mr Kumar believes that knowledgeable patients make the best decisions about their own treatment. That's why he explains every step of the diagnostic process. Next, he wants his patients to understand their condition: How it developed and how various treatment approaches can improve or repair the problem. When we consider treatment alternatives, he presents a realistic outlook on the results we can achieve. He will also be frank about any risks that might be involved. If a non-surgical option is available, he will explain that avenue in depth.
Mr kumar's purpose is to handle each and every patient visit with care and proficiency. It is also highly important to him that the Doctor/Patient relationship is open and honest. It is his responsibility to make sure patients are well informed about their conditions and the multiple choices of treatment. Graduated from Trivandrum Medical School, South India (1989). Completed MS Orth in Orthopaedics. Undertook higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery in the Northwest Deanery. Developed an interest in foot and ankle surgery whilst Senior House Officer in Orthopaedics at Bolton. Spent a year in Belfast to gain further experience in trauma, including six months at the Limb Reconstruction Unit. Completed Foot and Ankle Fellowship, Wrightington Hospital. Granted a Fellowship of the British Foot and Ankle Society then gained experience in ankle arthroscopic surgery. Currently working as a Consultant in Orthopaedics for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
