Mr. Rami Atalla qualified in 1987 and trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in large teaching hospitals including Norfolk and Norwich Hospital and Birmingham Maternity Hospital. He was Lecturer at Leicester University before joining East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 2012. He leads the East and North Herts NHS Trust Urogynaecology service and specialises in pelvic floor operations including incontinence, prolapse and vaginal surgeries. He developed and chairs the urogynaecology MDT. He has a long standing interest in helping women who have has repeated miscarriage and has helped many women successfully carry future pregnancies.He is very committed to achieving the best evidence-based outcomes for the women he looks after and supporting his patients with an approachable manner. He was previously Clinical Director for Gynaecology and Divisional Chair for Women's Services.He performed a large number of research projects in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has a large number of publications in major scientific journals as well as several chapters in postgraduate medical books.He is popular and highly regarded by his patients and he has been nominated by his patient as an NHS Hero.
