Richard Stevens graduated from The University of Sheffield Medical school in 2009. In 2008 he took a year out of his medical studies to pursue an interest in sports medicine, conducting research within the British Cycling team and earning a BMedSci degree.
Upon graduating he stayed in the South Yorkshire region & completed his higher surgical training.
He went on to complete 2 specialist Upper limb fellowships in Chesterfield and Derby.
Richard was appointed as a Consultant at the Doncaster & Bassetlaw NHS Foundation Trust in 2023 with an Upper limb sub-speciality interest. Within the department he supervises trainees, regularly teaches students and is the Clinical lead for trauma.
Richard is actively involved in research with multiple publications in peer reviewed journals. He has presented his work at national & international conferences. He continues to train & educate colleagues, & is a faculty member on a number of national educational courses.
