Mr Sam Anand is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Banbury, Oxfordshire who specialises in upper limb surgery.
Mr Anand completed his training at the Medical University in Madras, India. He moved to England in 1998 and completed his further training in Trauma and Orthopaedics, specialising in problems of the upper limb in general and the shoulder in particular.
Mr Anand has worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2009. His special interests are problems of the upper limbs, especially shoulders. He is well trained in keyhole surgery of the shoulder and also routinely carries out joint replacement procedures. He routinely performs complex arthroscopic shoulder soft tissue procedures including decompression, shoulder stabilisations and rotator cuff repairs.
Mr Anand has presented in various national and international meetings including a presentation in the International Hand Society Meeting in Sydney in 2007. He is the Consultant Editor of the European Orthopaedic Product News and publishes 4-5 commissioned articles per year on various key subjects. He is also a reviewer of various international journals including the British Medical Journal.
