Special interests: Mr Kutty has a special interest in joint replacements of the hip and knee, the painful young adult hip, arthroscopy of the knee, and failed joint replacements. Mr Kutty will see patients from 3 yrs+.

Mr Satish Kutty qualified from India before moving to the Republic of Ireland in 1997. He completed his basic surgical training in Limerick and obtained his FRCS in 1998. He then did part of his higher surgical training in Orthopaedics in Ireland. He completed his FRCS (Tr&Orth) before moving to Wales in 2005. He completed his Senior Registrar training at Cardiff & Newport before obtaining his CCT in July 2007.
He subsequently became a locum Consultant at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport for a period of eight months before going to Canada to do a lower limb joint reconstruction Fellowship at The University of Calgary.
He returned to Newport as a Locum Consultant in July 2009 until Dec 2009. He was appointed a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in joint replacement surgery including revision hip surgery.
