Mr Shafi Wardak qualified from University College London with a degree of MBBS in 2009. He also undertook a bachelor's degree in Medical Sciences at University of London before being awarded a master's degree in Surgical Technology at Imperial College London.
He completed his higher surgical training in London teaching hospitals including The Royal London, Guy's & St Thomas', and University College London Hospitals (UCLH).
He undertook a senior fellowship at the Institute of Andrology at UCLH, where he developed expertise in male infertility management, as well as penile prosthetic surgery and genital reconstruction.
He has expertise in the assessment and management of male infertility and offers several methods of surgical sperm retrieval for assisted conception in men with infertility.
He works closely with gynaecology colleagues and runs a fertility clinic at Thames Valley Fertility. Shafi is fellowship trained in penile prosthetic surgery (malleable and inflatable implants) and corrective surgery for Peyronie's disease including plication and grafting techniques. He also offers a regional service for management of male hypogonadism (low testosterone).
He has a keen interest in research, having published in high impact peer reviewed scientific journals, and he regularly presents his research at national and international academic conferences.
