Mr Vivekanandan (also known as Mr Vivek) is a Senior surgeon with vast experience in General and Colorectal surgery.

He obtained his Medical degree and Master’s degree in Surgery in India. He then moved to the UK and completed higher Surgical training rotation in the South East Thames region . During this period he trained under Prof Bill Heald, who is a world renowned pioneer in rectal cancer Surgery. He also worked at St Marks hospital which is the internationally famous Specialist centre for colorectal surgery in London.

Mr Vivek has been a Substantive Consultant in Colorectal and General Surgery at The Princess Alexandra Hospital In Harlow, Essex since 2002.

He is currently the Clinical Director for General Surgery, Urology and Gastroenterology and Lead for the Colorectal Surgery at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. Previously he had held the posts of Cancer lead for the Trust and Joint lead for General Surgery.

He does his private practice at the Rivers Hospital in Sawbridgeworth and Pinehill hospital in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
