Mr Sudeep Thomas is a Consultant General Surgeon with a Coloproctology specialist interest.
In addition to cancer work, he sees patients with all aspects of coloproctology e.g inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, complicated anorectal conditions, functional bowel disorders and endoscopy (OGD and Colonoscopy).
Other interests include laparoscopy and laparoscopic colectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy and groin hernias, general surgical procedures, colorectal surgical procedures and Endoscopy.
Special interest in management of pilonidal sinuses including Limberg flap for Pilonidal Sinus.
Mr Thomas has medical qualifications including MBBS. He completed higher surgical training in India achieving MS, obtained the FRCS from Royal college of Surgeons Ireland.
Mr Thomas has successfully completed the research programme at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge and joined the higher surgical training in surgery at West Midlands Deanery Birmingham and obtained the Intercollegiate FRCS culminating in the award of the CCST. He has also completed fellowship programme in laparoscopic colorectal surgery at Poole.
After completing the advanced training in Robotic, laparoscopic and in peritoneal cancer surgery at The Christie Hospital, Manchester, he joined as consultant surgeon at Lincoln county hospital and currently at Russell's Hall Hospital, Dudley.
