Mr Timothy Williams is Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon in Essex, offering consultation on disorders of the Foot and Ankle
Mr. Williams' clinical interests are disorders affecting the lower limb, particularly the foot and ankle. His consultations can assess Injuries or acquired pain and deformity affecting the lower limb from toes to calf and the effects it can have on the rest of the body.
He undertakes deformity correction (from bunions to ankle collapse) and arthritis pain relief surgeries. He is interested in sports or work related injuries affecting the ankle working closely with our physiotherapy and rehabilitation teams. When indicated he is an experienced arthroscopic (Key hole) Surgeon.
Mr. Williams' NHS practice is in Colchester at CHUFT and encompasses general trauma as well as specialist Foot & Ankle Orthopaedics.

Mr. Williams Qualified in 1999 from Guy's and St. Thomas's Medical School. His basic surgical training took him to Greater London and Oxford before he took up his Orthopaedic Career in 2005.
As a registrar he worked with eminent surgeons in Cambridge and East Anglia before undertaking his most senior fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH Stanmore)in Northwest London. This Foot & ankle subspecialist post with Mr. Dishan Singh preceded his appointment as Consultant in Colchester in 2011. As a trainee and latterly as consultant he has remained a clear educationalist and advocate of governance and quality.
He is an active member of his specialist surgical society (BOFAS) serving on the Committee for Education. He teaches surgical trainees at many different levels and is helping lead the training of specialist nurses and allied healthcare practitioners in Foot & Ankle.
He is published in the written professional press on subjects of the foot and ankle and regularly lectures to a variety of audiences both locally and nationally.
