Mr Vinay Takwale is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in treatment of injuries and other conditions of the shoulder, elbow and hand.
His practice now involves all aspect of shoulder, elbow and hand surgery, but he is especially interested in treatment of these conditions by keyhole surgery with advanced modern techniques. He has large experience in management of fractures in the upper limb and joint replacement surgery of the shoulder, elbow and certain joints in the hand, and the more frequent conditions like rotator cuff tears or their impingement, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers and Dupuytren’s disease.
Mr Takwale has been a Consultant on the NHS since 2001. He carried out his Higher Surgical Training in the London and took a specialist fellowship in Upper Limb Surgery at Wrightington Hospital.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, British Elbow and Shoulder Society and the Faculty of Medical leadership and Management. In addition to his clinical role, he is also keen to promote the advancement of medical leadership and management within the wider NHS.
