Qualifying in 1997, Yousaf Shah has spent his medical career building extensive knowledge and understanding of a wide range of orthopaedic conditions. He undertook his general Trauma & Orthopaedic training in UK and received his sub-speciality Spine Fellowships in management of complex and degenerative spinal disorders from Oxford and Reading. He acquired a Masters Degree from Cardiff University in Orthopaedic Engineering and SICOT diploma in 2008 and passed his Intercollegiate examination in 2012. His NHS practice is at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is a faculty member of an internationally renowned course for FRCS Trauma & Orthopaedic examination. He has made multiple presentations nationally and internationally and is able to communicate in English, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi languages. He is a member of the British Association of Spine Surgeons, North American Spine Society, AO Spine, British Orthopaedic Association and British Trauma Society. He is happily married with three children who motivate his passion for care, and enjoys painting, composing music and playing table tennis in his free time.
