Effie Katerinaki performs cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast and body including breast uplift surgery, breast reduction, breast augmentation, male breast reduction (gynaecomastia), surgery for breast asymmetry, fat transfer, abdominoplasty and liposuction.
Effie Katerinaki also performs ear plastic surgery including ear pinning (otoplasty) and split ear lobe correction, as well as scar revision, mole, skin tag and cyst removal.

Effie Katerinaki graduated from the University of Patras, Greece and undertook all her general surgical and advanced Plastic Surgery training in the UK. She completed a six year training programme in Plastic Surgery at South Manchester University Hospital and the Christie Hospital, the largest cancer centre in Europe, acquiring skills in breast and skin cancer reconstructive surgery.
Prior to starting her specialist training in Plastic Surgery, Effie worked on a 3 year long clinical research project on malignant melanoma at the University of Sheffield which led to her PhD degree being awarded by the University in 2004.
Effie completed a 12 month specialist breast reconstruction fellowship at City Hospital, Birmingham and subsequently spent a further 6 months on a prestigious fellowship on microsurgical reconstruction of the breast at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Canada, one of the largest centres for microsurgery in North America.
In 2011 Effie Katerinaki was appointed to her first NHS Consultant post in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. She then moved to City Hospital, Birmingham in 2012 to work as a full time Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a specialist interest in breast reconstruction.
Effie left the NHS in July 2017 and now offers plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic procedures in the private sector, where she aims to continue providing the highest quality safe surgical care tailored specifically to the individual's needs.
