Helen qualified with a 2:1 in Physiotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University in 1997. She began working for the NHS with Southport and Formby NHS Trust where she rotated around several areas including, out patients, medical/surgical wards, Regional Spinal injuries Centre,Orthopaedics and respiratory.
Helen moved to the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan in 1999 where she worked on medical, surgical wards and ITU over a 2 year period. She then moved back to Southport Hospital where she worked on the Regional Spinal injuries unit for 2 years before moving to a role in Musculoskeletal outpatients, assessing and treating complex conditions, arranging appropriate investigations and referring for appropriate management.
Helen completed her acupuncture training in 2000.
