Robyn Leach is the Physiotherapy Manager at Clifton Park Hospital in York.
Robyn is a dedicated Physiotherapy Manager with a passion for helping individuals regain their quality of life and return to the activities they love. With a strong foundation in Physiology, Robyn was inspired to pursue a career in physiotherapy after experiencing a few injuries herself, which sparked her interest in the human body and its healing processes. She began her career as a Physiotherapy Assistant, gaining invaluable hands-on experience before pursuing her Master's degree in Physiotherapy.
Having qualified in 2006, Robyn joined Clifton Park Hospital in 2008. Over the years, Robyn has witnessed and contributed to the growth and improvement of the service, providing care to both inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy patients. She has developed particular expertise in Shockwave Therapy and rehabilitation programs, often working with patients recovering from joint replacements and surgeries.
Robyn's qualifications include a Master's in Physiotherapy, along with additional training in Shockwave Therapy, taping, and massage. This specialised knowledge enhances her holistic approach to treatment, ensuring that her patients receive the most effective care.
What Robyn finds most rewarding in her role is seeing her patients regain their independence and improve their mental and physical wellbeing. Helping individuals return to their favourite sports or regain mobility after surgery brings her immense satisfaction, especially as these achievements contribute to both their physical health and mental wellbeing—a critical aspect of recovery as people age.
