Miss Rahat Khan is a Consultant Gynaecologist in Hertfordshire, specialising in pelvic pain, infertility, abnormal bleeding, prolapse, miscarriages, endometriosis, fibroids, polycystic ovaries, heavy periods, and hysteroscopy.
General gynaecology including pelvic pain, infertility, abnormal uterine bleeding, uterine and vaginal prolapse, recurrent miscarriages, endometriosis, fibroids, endocrine disorders including polycystic ovaries, heavy periods, premenstrual symptoms, cervical smears, hysteroscopy and minimal access surgery.

Miss Khan received her preliminary education in Malta and spent her childhood in England, Rome and Malta. She obtained her primary medical qualification in Karachi with distinctions and then moved back to the UK. She completed her entire Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in the South Thames London deanery rotational training programme in the UK. Miss Khan has a diverse and broad experience in all aspects of gynaecology. She has publications in peer reviewed journals and has published chapters in text books. She was appointed as a substantive Consultant at Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust in 2011. She has held additional roles such as the Clinical Services Group Lead and the Labour ward Lead. Miss Khan has made vast evidence based improvements in clinical services both for obstetrics and gynaecology since her appointment. She believes in listening to her patients and providing safe, evidence-based high quality care tailored to the needs of women.
