ECONOMIC SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY AND LOCAL MP BIM AFOLAMI VISITS PINEHILL HOSPITAL TO SEE HOW RAMSAY HEALTH CARE UK IS DELIVERING FOR PATIENTS
Bim Afolami MP, the Economic Secretary to the Treasury and Conservative MP for Hitchin and Harpenden has visited Pinehill Hospital to meet with doctors, nurses and wider staff, and learn more about how the hospital is delivering for patients across Hertfordshire.
Mr Afolami was given a tour of the hospital by Pinehill Hospital Director Duncan Barton and Head of Clinical Services Clare Granada to see the healthcare services on offer, which include orthopaedics, general surgery, diagnostics, cosmetic surgery and more to patients across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and the wider area.
The local MP found out more about the hospital’s relationship with the local Lister Hospital, and how Pinehill Hospital works together with the NHS to deliver for patients as part of the wider health community to provide additional capacity, and ensure patients can get the care they need, when they need it.
During the visit, Mr Afolami spent time meeting with staff on the wards, as well as in radiology, outpatients and bookings, and found out more about the work Pinehill Hospital does in the local community - including sponsoring the under 11’s girls side at Hitchin Belles Football Club and Hitchin Rugby Club. Pinehill staff also provide the local community with free Basic Life Support training.
