Just come home from having a surgical procedure at the Oaklands Hospital, from the minute you walk in to the minute you leave you are well looked after , every single person that works there is kind , considerate and can't do enough for you . Dr Murphy was outstanding, However; Oaklands hospital wasn’t the private healthcare experience I was expecting. Crowded waiting room, limited parking, couldn’t reach anyone on the telephone on multiple occasions re my appointment. Probably wouldn’t choose this location again - although the initial reception staff were outstanding.

The whole experience was excellent from ringing to make the appointment which was extremely quick to seeing the correct consultant for my issues to diagnosis and treatment.

Really friendly and attentive staff. Good private space for recovering after an operation, with good food and great aftercare. Theatre team (I was obviously only awake for a short period) were really reassuring as I had a bout of nerves and also I came out unscathed so they must have done a great job! Nursing staff are an absolute credit to the hospital. Throughout the experience the private patient liaison visited to check on my progress and experience, which I was nice but the nursing team are so good, I’m not really sure why. I suppose if I had had a bad experience I would have found a need. So I am grateful I didn’t need them.

The whole experience has been great, I felt safe and like a VIP from the start. The environment, the attention, the communication and organization made my surgery as smooth as possible. One thing for feedback would be the after hours personnel to be more experienced. Thanking my lucky stars I had my operation here.
