I have been an NHS Consultant Gastroenterologist since 2007, initially in Nottingham/Derby and moved to Cornwall in 2011. I have extensive experience in all aspects of Luminal Gastroenterology with special interests in Colonoscopy, Bowel Cancer Screening and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. I have been Clinical Director of the Cornwall Bowel Cancer Screening Programme since 2020.
I commonly see patients with the following symptoms:
-Indigestion/ heartburn
-Abdominal pain
-Diarrhoea
-Weight loss
-Anaemia
I perform the following procedures at the Duchy Hospital:
-Gastroscopy
-Colonoscopy (and polyp removal)
-Flexible sigmoidoscopy
I run a weekly clinic at the Duchy Hospital on a Wednesday morning. I prefer to have a referral letter from your GP so I can make sure that I am the right person to deal with your problem.
I undergo and am up to date with annual appraisal and regularly monitor my key performance indicators for endoscopy.
