Dr Ungvari obtained his Cardiology Specialist Certificate in 2011, and his training included acquiring advanced interventional cardiology skills while working in tertiary cardiology centres in Hungary and England. He has been working as a consultant in the Royal Cornwall Hospital since 2013.
Dr Ungvari has been involved in academic work throughout his career, presenting at national and international conferences as well as publishing in peer-reviewed journals. He has been involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education with the University of Exeter and Severn Deanery, while regularly teaching senior medical colleagues to perform advanced and complex coronary interventions
