Mr Bartlett is now offering a new initiative for private patients seeking hip replacement surgery. In conjunction with engineers working for Corin, he is using a validated computer algorithm to plan the optimal hip replacement size and orientation based on CT diagnostic imaging. The positioning of components during surgery is aided by custom guides to accurately deliver the preoperative plan. The aim being to achieve the best possible function following surgery more reliably. Both the pre-operative plan and the custom implants are normally covered by medical insurance and of course this option is also available should you choose to pay for your surgery yourself.
Mr Bartlett is a faculty member of the education charity AO and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. Mr Bartlett is also recognised by the British Orthopaedic Association, British Hip Society and Girdlestone Society.
Mr Bartlett qualified from St Mary's Medical School London, completing his basic surgical training in London, Bristol and South Africa and his registrar training in the Oxford Region. He has undertaken a research fellowship at Oxford University, completing a Medical Doctorate in hip arthroplasty and clinical fellowships in hip and knee surgery in Exeter and Reading and trauma surgery in Denver, USA.
