After graduation in 1996, my initial training was in general surgery, during which I developed an interest in reconstructive surgery. After my FRCS from Glasgow, I started my plastic surgery training in Yorkshire. I proceeded to the Birmingham Hand Centre in 2011 for a Fellowship in Hand, Wrist and Microvascular reconstruction.
My subspecialty interest besides Hand surgery is Burns and Lower limb reconstruction, including Microsurgery. My current NHS practice is the Pinderfields Regional Burns Centre as a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive, Burns and Hand Surgeon.
I have more than 30 publications in peer reviewed journals, with over 180 citations and over 45 presentations in national and international conferences.
