Mr Smith-Walker's main interest and sub specialty training is in minimal access surgery both laparoscopy and hysteroscopy; specialising in the treatment of pelvic pain and menstrual disorders including fibroids and endometriosis. These conditions can be treated using techniques including: Diagnostic laparoscopy, Total & Subtotal Laparoscopic hysterectomy, Laparoscopic Myomectomy (removal of fibroids)Oophorectomy, Sterilisation, Division of Adhesions, Diagnostic Laparoscopy, Excision of Endometriosis, Hysteroscopy (outpatient), Endometrial ablation, Hysteroscopic removal of fibroids.
Mr Smith-Walker completed his medical training in London in 2003 and completed his specialist training in the South West in 2013. His practice covers all aspects of Gynaecology with a special interest being minimal access surgery, for which He undertook specialist training in 2011/13, with a focus on the management of Endometriosis, which led to his Consultant appointment at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in 2013. Mr Smith-Walker feels privileged to be able to work here in beautiful Cornwall.
