Mrs Aileen Lambert is a Consultant ENT Surgeon in Truro
Aileen has specialist expertise in treating ear conditions such as acute and chronic ear infections/discharging ears, perforated ear drum, hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, dizziness, Meniere's disease, middle ear disease including cholesteatoma, Eustachian tube dysfunction/ear popping and surfers ear/exostoses.
She undertakes surgery including canaloplasty (chisel and drill method) myringoplasty, tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy , intra-tympanic injections and grommet insertion.
She also offers specialist treatment for nasal conditions such as blocked nose, rhinitis, sinusitis, polyps, nasal allergies, anosmia/loss of smell, nasal obstruction, septal deviation, septal perforation, nasal deformity/ fractured nose/nasal trauma, and postnasal drip/catarrh and chronic cough. She undertakes FESS/functional endoscopic sinus surgery, nasal cautery, septoplasty, and turbinate surgery.
General ENT conditions can also be treated by Aileen including sore throat/tonsillitis, large adenoids, snoring, hoarse voice, globus/lump in the throat, throat clearing. She undertakes coblation and bipolar tonsillectomy, flexible and direct diagnostic laryngoscopy and adenoidectomy. Aileen does not perform thyroid, parotid or submandibular gland surgery, or any cosmetic procedures including cosmetic septorhinoplasty.
Aileen has developed subspecialist interests in Otology and Rhinology, as well as treating all general ENT conditions.

Aileen Lambert graduated from Trinity College Medical School with honours and having received the Foundation Scholarship award from the University. She completed her higher specialist ENT surgical training in London and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2016, and the certificate of completion of training in 2019.
She has had the opportunity to have been personally trained by the leading specialists in both otology and rhinology from the specialist ENT hospitals and departments in London. She was awarded the opportunity to undertake the prestigious Darzi Fellowship during her training.
Aileen has a keen interest in teaching and training and is the ENT Lead for Undergraduate Medical Education in Cornwall for the University of Exeter Medical School. She is also involved with postgraduate training and sits on Surgical interview panels and has a mentor role within the Deanery. She is a member of the British Society of Otology and is still actively involved in the BSO Junior Committee which she set up as a trainee. She is also a member of ENT UK, the European Academy of Otology and Neurotology and the British Rhinology Society. She has presented her research work internationally and continues to keep up to date with regular attendance at courses and conferences nationally and internationally.
