Mrs Rebecca Dunlop is a Consultant Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Duchy Hospital in Truro, Cornwall, who specialises in Plastic Surgery including Cosmetic Surgery.
Rebecca Dunlop graduated from Oxford University Medical School in 2000 and undertook her Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery training in various centres in the UK and Ireland, before being awarded her FRCS(Plast) by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011. She then completed the prestigious Interface Hand Surgery Fellowship in Oxford and studied for the BSSH Hand Surgery Diploma, passing this in 2012.
Rebecca then went on to complete two further years of fellowship training in Sydney, Australia. During this time she was fortunate to work at the excellent Plastic Surgery Unit in St Vincent's Hospital, where she worked alongside some of Sydney's busiest and most well respected Plastic Surgeons. This gave her further experience in Aesthetic Surgery, as well as Breast and Head and Neck reconstruction.
Rebecca was appointed as full time Consultant Hand Surgeon in Truro in 2014, becoming the only Plastic Surgeon to be appointed as an NHS Consultant in Cornwall. She is on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and is a full member of BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons), BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and BSSH (British Society for Surgery to the Hand).
In 2022 she became Certified for Cosmetic Surgery and Non Surgical procedures under the UK Cosmetic Surgery Certification Scheme, joining an elite group of less than 100 UK surgeons who have completed this process. In addition to adult and congenital Hand Surgery for the NHS, Rebecca undertakes both NHS and private work in skin cancer and cosmetic surgery.
The procedures that Rebecca offers at Duchy Hospital include treatment of benign and malignant skin lesions, anti-wrinkle and filler injections, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), breast reduction, inverted nipple correction, gynaecomastia surgery (male breast reduction), labiaplasty, upper eyelid rejuvenation, prominent ear correction, liposuction and elective hand surgery. Mrs Dunlop can also offer procedures together, such as the 'mummy makeover' which could consist of an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) alongside a breast augmentation or breast uplift.
If you want to talk to Rebecca about any aspect of plastic/cosmetic surgery for information, advice or a second opinion she is committed to offering honest and sensitive advice, with your individual interests at heart. Rebecca is passionate about the quality of her surgical work and about maintaining excellent cross-specialty relationships for the benefit of her patients.
She lives in Cornwall with her two children and their Newfoundland dog. In her spare time she enjoys cold water swimming, gardening and time with friends and family.
