Glendon Wood will provide additional capacity and will work in a hub and spoke model to already established Woodland Hospital, located just 4 miles away, building on the excellent reputation of delivering high quality clinical care to patients in the local area.

The hospital will provide services including diagnostics, endoscopy, ENT, ophthalmology, foot and ankle surgery and pain management for privately insured, self-paying and NHS patients within the local community and further afield.

The new facility has two operating rooms and an endoscopy unit, eight outpatient consulting rooms and a minor operative treatment room, six physiotherapy treatment rooms, a rehabilitation gym, and a fully equipped radiology department with static CT and MRI, X-Ray, Mammography and Ultrasound.

In addition to the hospital services, the top floor of the building houses a brand new Sterile Services hub, which will provide decontamination services to both Woodland Hospital and Glendon Wood Hospital, as well as neighbouring Ramsay hospitals in the region such as Fitzwilliam, Boston West, Blakelands and The Cherwell Hospital.

Sarah Bowrey, Hospital Manager at Glendon Wood Hospital said:

“We are delighted to officially open our doors to our patients, providing state of the art facilities and Consultant led care. With the additional capacity, we now have the ability to diagnose and treat more patients than ever before.”
