Dr Shetty has received Gastroenterology training both in India and the UK. In the UK he completed a full Gastroenterology training scheme from Bristol deanery, including extensive placements at the nationally renowned training centre for endoscopy at the Gloucestershire NHS hospital centre.
During Gastroenterology fellowship and training, he has been involved in research on the role of interleukins in acute pancreatitis, the role fibroscan in long term methotrexate users and focal active colitis. He has extensive experience in interventional endoscopy, pancreatico-bilary disease and liver diseases. he has published and presented in national and international conferences.
