Professor Malata is a consultant in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery with private & NHS practices in Peterborough and Cambridge. He trained at world-renowned institutions in both the UK and USA and undertakes the full spectrum of cosmetic surgery. His special areas of expertise are breast plastic surgery, “nose jobs”, tummy tucks & other body contouring surgery, and face & neck lifts. Indeed, he has been voted nationally by his peers as one of the top 10 breast plastic surgeons in the UK.

Professor Malata is a fully accredited NHS Consultant Plastic Surgeon who underwent comprehensive plastic surgery training on the prestigious West of Scotland Plastic Surgery Programme at the world famous Canniesburn Hospital in Glasgow.
He then undertook full time super-specialty training in cosmetic and breast surgery in the USA for about two years: initially as a breast and aesthetic surgery fellow at Georgetown University Medical Centre (Washington DC) and later as a cosmetic and breast surgery fellow at the Emory Clinic (Emory University Hospital) in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a Royal College of Surgeons Assigned Educational Clinical Supervisor for trainee plastic surgeons and the Plastic Surgery Attachment Director for elective medical students at Cambridge University Medical School. He is a Visiting Professor at the School of Medicine of Anglia Ruskin University.
Professor Malata has an active clinical outcomes research programme and served as the President of the European Society for Surgical Research (ESSR 2011-2013). He has written over 160 peer-reviewed PubMed publications and lectures nationally and internationally on cosmetic surgery, breast surgery and microvascular free flap surgery.
