Over 25 years of specialist spinal operative experience in Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF), cervical corpectomies, posterior cervical laminectomies, lateral mass cervical fixations, spinal decompressions, lumbar laminectomies, microdiscectomies, spinal fusions including Transverse Lumbar Interbody Fusions (TLIF) and Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusions (PLIF), sacroiliac joint fusions, coccygectomies, RF lesioning.

Mr David Chapple qualified at St Thomas's Hospital Medical School in 1990. He trained as a spinal and general orthopaedic surgeon at St George's Hospital Medical School, London and completed a specialist Spinal Research and Surgical Fellowship in at The Royal Adelaide University Hospital, Australia. He has been an NHS and Private Consultant in Salisbury Foundation Trust and Ramsay New Hall since 2001. He is attending Spinal Surgeon at Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre the south and southwest regional spinal cord injuries unit.

Mr Chapple is actively training and supervising Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners and trainee doctors. He is involved with multidisciplinary team training with other medical specialities. He has been an examiner for undergraduate medical students and specialist registrars. Mr Chapple undertakes a full portfolio of continuing professional development. This involves annual peer and management appraisal. He attends and has been on the faculty of spinal meetings in UK and internationally.
