I am currently working as a consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon in Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Here I specialise in the management of traumatic hip and knee conditions, degenerative joint conditions, high performance joint replacement surgery, periprosthetic fractures , revision hip and knee replacements.
I have particular interest in young patients with arthritic hips and metastatic bone disease. I am also the Hospital clinical lead for Fracture Neck of Femur patients.
I have over 20 years of broad clinical experience in Orthopaedic and trauma surgery being involved in over 4500 surgical procedures which includes 700 hip and knee replacement surgeries.
I completed my Higher Surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery from the East Midlands South training program, UK and was awarded CCT in August 2020. Subsequently, I completed three international fellowships from Australia in Adult Reconstruction, revision arthroplasty, trauma and Orthopaedic Oncology. My fellowships were in prestigious institutes which includes 7 months of Arthroplasty and Orthopaedic Oncology in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, 12 months of Arthroplsty and pelvic trauma in Royal Melbourne Hospital and 12 months of Revision Arthroplasty from Royal Adelaide Hospital.
I have been an ATLS instructor and GCP trained involved in REC approved clinical projects.
