After qualifying and completing basic surgical training in 1998, Mr Batra attained a PhD for work on human fracture healing. He attained the Intercollegiate Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2007 (FRCS Tr & Orth) and completed a Lower Limb Fellowship in 2009. He has also trained at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, USA completing a Stryker Visiting Clinician Fellowship.
Mr Batra has been a Consultant at the Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust since 2010 and is actively involved in teaching orthopaedic specialist trainees. He has also had papers presented at national and international meetings and has published several peer-reviewed articles in journals.
