George graduated from University of Leicester Medical School in 2001. He then went on to train as an orthopaedic surgeon at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital Oswestry. Following this he completed specialist fellowship training in complex knee surgery at the Princess Elizabeth Knee Reconstruction unit in Exeter. George was appointed as a consultant knee surgeon at Wrightington hospital in 2013.
In 2012 George was awarded the British Orthopaedic Association/European Federation National Associations of Orthopaedics travelling fellowship, where he visited and learned from other centres of excellence around the worlds including Marseille, Nice and the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
He is an active member of the British Orthopaedic Association, British Association for Surgery of the Knee, BAJIS, MRC revision knee group and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
Owing to his expertise in complex knee replacement surgery Mr Pavlou will accept second opinion referrals for problematic joint replacements patients or for patients who have had complications from previous knee replacement surgery.
