Laser resurfacing is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment to reduce facial wrinkles, uneven skin tone, scars or sun damage and create a more rejuvenated and youthful appearance. It uses short, concentrated pulsating laser beams to remove skin layer by layer.
Pixel laser skin resurfacing is more effective than traditional laser resurfacing as it uses a fractional method to treat your skin in localised targeted tiny zones and leaves the other zones within the treatment area perfectly intact. This helps your skin recover faster and offers minimal downtime.
It fires tiny beams of light that create small holes or pixels in your skin and removes some of your outermost layers of skin in a precise and controlled way to your required depth. These micro-holes stimulate collagen production as a part of the healing process that helps tighten your skin and improves your skin’s texture and tone.

Pixel laser skin resurfacing treatment involves three to five sessions, each lasting about 15 minutes, one to four weeks apart.
The number of treatment sessions will depend on your skin condition and your practitioner will discuss with you their recommended treatment regime for you.
You will be given a topical anaesthetic cream before treatment and then your practitioner will pass the Pixel laser over your treated area.
Pixel laser skin resurfacing is a safe procedure with minimal risks or complications.
Your practitioner will discuss the possible risks with you in detail before commencing treatment.
The cost of Pixel laser skin resurfacing will depend on the area(s) being treated.
During your consultation you will be advised of the cost for your laser resurfacing.
Recovery after Pixel treatment is much quicker than with other laser skin resurfacing procedures, dermabrasions and deep chemical peels.
Immediately after treatment your skin will feel slightly tingly and may appear red. You may have some swelling in the treated area for a couple of days.
Your skin will flake as new skin replaces the treated tissue. This is a sign that your skin is rejuvenating and your skin will look better. You should see the full effect after three months.
You will be given instructions for the care of your skin as it recuperates from your Pixel treatment. This may involve using cleansers and moisturisers.
You should stay out of the sun after having Pixel laser skin resurfacing until your skin has fully healed.
